I collect your email, name and provided information when you use a contact form, write a comment or sign up for my email newsletter. If you contact me through the contact form, I’ll keep this information to provide you the best service and respond to your query, but I won’t add you to my email marketing list unless you specifically ask me to.

This site also uses cookies to collect information, including Google Analytics and WordPress.com Analytics.

The plugins and programs I use on this site are WordPress, MailChimp, and Jetpack, so your information may be processed with these products according to their privacy policies and terms of service. More information about how Jetpack uses your information can be found in their privacy policy.

Tropic of Camera (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the https://tropicofcamera.com website (the “Service”).

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information when you use our Service.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Please allow us 30 days to investigate your complaint, after which we will contact you immediately to resolve the issue.

Retention of Information

We retain information for as long as required, allowed or we believe it useful, but do not undertake retention obligations. We may dispose of information in our discretion without notice, subject to applicable law that specifically requires the handling or retention of information. Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 (“Children”).
